Discussion: What is Art?

  • Art is means of expression and communication.
  • Art turned inwards: an example includes Frida Kahlo’s paintings. Her paintings express her homesickness for Mexico. Mexico physically dominates space in her paintings over the cold industrial machine of the U.S.
